Where is Spud Fest?

Where do I park when I visit Spud Fest?
Parking is FREE and is available in the Independence Elementary, Big Lake High School, and Softball Field parking lots. There will be a Spuddle available for those that want a ride. How much does Spud Fest cost?
It is FREE to enter Spud Fest. Carnival rides, BINGO, food and beverages will require a monetary transaction. There is an ATM available at the Beer Ticket stand for your convenience.
Are dogs allowed at Spud Fest?
Spud Fest is not dog friendly. Please leave your furry friends at home!
What happens if it rains?
Spud Fest is a rain or shine event!
Carnival rides are monitored by the onsite carnival manager who is contracted by Spud Fest to provide rides at our event. It is up to the management of the Carnival if rides will continue in the rain or if they need to be shut down for safety.
Musicians and their management decide if it is safe to perform and although rain is generally acceptable, the threat of lightning is primarily deemed not safe with the extensive electrical systems used by bands.
Does Spud Fest have a Lost and Found?
The Lost and Found is located at the Spud Fest Beer ticket trailer in front of the Big Lake Middle School. If you are looking for a lost item after Spud Fest has ended, please email [email protected] with a description of the item you lost and your contact information. It is also recommended to call the non-emergency police line at 763-251-2996 to see if someone turned in your items to the police station.
Is First Aid available?
There are first aid kits available at the Spud Fest Beer ticket trailer in front of the Big Lake Middle School. If you experience an emergency, locate a police officer onsite or call 911.
Can I smoke tobacco or e-cigarettes at Spud Fest?
Smoking is allowed on the Spud Fest grounds, but please be courteous of others and create your own smoking area away from large groups. Also be sure to dispose of any trash in one of the garbage cans provided onsite.
Where do I buy a Spud Fest button?
Spud Fest buttons can be purchased for $2 from this year’s Big Lake Ambassador Candidates.
All proceeds go back to youth programs in Big Lake and wearing a button can help increase your prizes during BINGO or if you win this year’s Hunt for the Medallion!

Session passes are $25 pre-sale and $30 at the carnival. MEGA passes are only available for pre-sale and are $70. Passes that are purchased online will need to be picked up at the festival. Ride tickets can also be purchased individually at the carnival. All sales of Carnival Ride passes are final.

SESSION PASS - If you plan on being at the festival for a good chunk of the day, then buy this so you can have unlimited rides during that time.
MEGA PASS - If you plan on being at the festival all weekend, then buy this so you can have unlimited rides all weekend.
INDIVIDUAL TICKETS - During the carnival you can purchase individual ride tickets. It is $1.00 per ticket and most rides take 3 to 6 tickets to ride. If your child is only going to ride on a couple of rides then the tickets are the way to go.
Just for information - The carnival makes all the profit on the individual tickets. Spud Fest makes some money on all the advanced wristbands / passes sold. So, if you buy the wristband or pass, some of that money goes back into the community!

If I purchased my pass(es) in advance ONLINE, where do I pick it up?
Online-sale passes can be picked up during Carnival hours from the Spud Fest Beer Ticket trailer, located in the main festival area. This is in front of the Big Lake Middle School, across from the tennis courts. Once you pick up your pass, you take it to the Carnival ticket stand and they will give you your wristband.
If I purchased my pass(es) in advance at Big Lake Coborn’s what do I do when I get to the Carnival?
When you purchase passes at Big Lake Coborn’s you get the physical pass immediately there. At the festival, bring your pass(es) directly to the Carnival ticket stand to get your wristband.
How much do rides cost without a Carnival Ride pass?
During the carnival you can purchase individual ride tickets. It is $1.00 per ticket and most rides take 3 to 6 tickets to ride.

Each ride differs. Most kid rides have a 30” tall minimum height requirement, while most big rides have a 42” tall minimum. Some rides an adult can’t ride on, because of their size. Some rides, a younger child can ride on with an adult. For example, a toddler can ride on the Ferris wheel but only with an adult. Each ride will have the particular rules posted at the festival.
