2011 Motorcycle Raffle

Official Rules

1. 1. The purchase price of a raffle ticket is $20. Checks or money orders should be made payable to: Big Lake Spud Fest (BLSF). Cash or check only. A maximum of 1000 tickets will be sold. Note: The IRS has declared that raffle purchases for valuable prizes are not tax-deductible contributions.
2. Ticket purchases are available from the following, various business locations and/or agents in the Big Lake area or from any BLSF committee member.
3. In the event an entrant's check does not clear, the entry is declared invalid and withdrawn from the drawing.
4. Entrants must be 18 years or older and have a valid Social Security Number to purchase a raffle ticket and be included in the drawing (proof of Social Security Number must be provided by winner upon claiming prize).
5. Tickets may be purchased in the name of one individual only, no groups or companies.
6. All completed tickets must be received with full payment prior to the actual drawing.
7. Prizes:
   The Grand Prize Winner will be able to choose one from of the following:
• New 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit 750
• Polaris Sportsman (either a 500, 550, or 800)
• Cash buy out of $5,000.00
• Second Place Prize $500.00
• Third, Fourth and Fifth Place will be $100.00 each
8. Drawing: The prize will be awarded through a random drawing to be held on September 17, 2011 at 4:00 pm. The drawing will be held during the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce Block Party to be held at: McPete’s Sports Bar and Lanes, located at: 590 Humboldt Drive in Big Lake, MN 55309-9466
9. Prize Winner: The winner need not be present to win. The winner will be notified via phone and mail within 2 days of the drawing. Winner's name and winning ticket number will also be posted for 15 days on the Big Lake Spud Fest web site at: www.biglakespudfest.com after the drawing is held. A copy of these rules, winner’s name and ticket number may be requested by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Big Lake Spud Fest, PO Box 215, Big Lake, MN 55309.
10. After the winning ticket is drawn, four (4) additional tickets will be drawn, their numbers announced and winner will receive the corresponding prize stated above (7).
11. The prize must be claimed no later than 4 pm on 15th calendar day from the date of the actual drawing. If the prize is not claimed by that date or if the winner declines acceptance of these terms, this will constitute a forfeiture of the prize and the buyer of the second ticket drawn will be notified that they are the winner. All subsequent prize forfeitures that may occur will be handled in this same manner.
12. The prize winner is solely responsible for any and all local, state and federal taxes along with state registration. The Internal Revenue Service requires that any prize valued of $600 or more, the winner must be issued a W-2G Form. Winner must provide proof of SSN.
13. BLSF is not responsible for any express or implied warranties regarding this prize. All terms, conditions and warranties of the prize selected (ATV or motorcycle) are between the winner and Moon Motor Sports located in Monticello, MN as laid out in their warranty.
14. BLSF assumes no liability for loss, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, or entries without completed payment which will be deemed invalid and disqualified. Winner must have secondary portion of ticket with clearly legible ticket number.
15. BLSF Committee Members and employees of Moon Motor Sports, and there immediate family members of any of the above are not eligible to participate in this drawing and any tickets purchased by such will be void.
15. The prize winner understands, acknowledges, and agrees that he/she is receiving a prize and will hereby release and discharge Big Lake Spud Fest and Moon Motor Sports and any additional sponsors, their employees, agents, officers, directors, and legal representatives and assigns from and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses arising from or caused by the award of such a prize including, but not limited to, the payment of any and all taxes that are due.
16. The purchase of a raffle ticket constitutes the buyer's acceptance of all rules and laws governing this raffle as outlined herein.
17. Big Lake Spud Fest decisions are final on all matters concerning the raffle.
18. Void where prohibited. If the winning ticket was purchased in a state that prohibits participation in this raffle, the purchase price of that ticket only will be refunded to the purchaser.
