Big Lake Spud Fest’s mission is to strengthen and support the Big Lake community. We are especially committed to helping local youth organizations and schools receive the financial resources they need to succeed. Our donations help give Big Lake children opportunities to participate in sports, join clubs and activities, access food during weekends and summer months, and benefit from other programs that enrich their lives.
We strive to donate at least 75% of our charitable gambling funds within the Big Lake area or to organizations that directly serve and support our community. When reviewing donation requests, we prioritize opportunities where our contributions can make the greatest impact and benefit the greatest number of people.
Through these efforts, Big Lake Spud Fest is proud to invest in our youth, strengthen local organizations, and help build a thriving community for everyone.

Donation Request Process
- The Donation Committee meets on the second Monday of each month to review all donation requests submitted for that month.
- Please ensure your request is submitted at least one week prior to the committee’s meeting for consideration.
- Following the committee’s review, recommendations are presented to the Board of Directors on the third Tuesday of each month.
- Requests will be approved or denied at that board meeting, and you will be notified shortly afterward regarding the status of your request.
